Outside ice caves with any SF char will get you the hearts in minutes. I'd reccomend a shadow stepper they don't like to be balled. Take out the walking icelollipops and some nice groups of imps behind them also. I think I got like 18 in my first run.

Old style vigorous barrage farm for ranger. SoS also works but a bit annoying.

Tried my old standard Rit SOS farmer build, but spirits died within seconds and was too lazy to experiment with variations including AoU. Instead, used a Vaettir build for my sin.
Found farming outside Ice Caves of Sorrow to be quick, but always had better luck and more Frigid Heart drops farming the imps outside Marhan's Grotto. (There is also more room to ball up the imps.) To save time I would avoid the groups with Pinesouls (or take them out first).

So... we've come full cycle at last. Now to see if he'll pop up in Regent Valley next Monday or if they'll completely randomize his appearances.

It will be interesting to see what happens next week. Seeing as these are the same trophies from presearing, I doubt there will be a shortage, plus they're easily obtainable in post as well. I'm more curious how next week will turn out.

One, err, "Interesting?" farm is to start the Nolani Academy mish, but instead of using the back route, set spirits at the gate, pull the lever and go support the spirits. Takes about a minute. My first five runs got 1, 1, 2, 1, 3 Carvings.

Does anyone know if doing the Great Northern Wall mission and then tanking the horde of Charr is a good way to go to farm these?

Ripping through Ft. Ranik mission works very well. I usually get 20 - 25 per run. (Got my 15 in about 10 minutes today)

Killed all the Charr in Flame Temple Corridor itself, solo, 18 Carvings first run and 21 Carvings second run (needed 30).
Flame Temple Corridor works fine (it should, cos its filled with loads of Charr).

cleared Flame Temple Corridor once for 27 charr carvings.
Takes about 1 minute to run there and an SoS can clear it in around 10 minutes or less. Used my R/A beastmaster and it only took 13 minutes.

Same here. Easy to get 15 carvings with plenty of Charr left over. Run to Nick. Horrible gifts this time. Must have fetched them out of a Charr dumpster.

Is it wrong of me to hope that Nick ends up in an Asura warp/time gate and gets frozen in time til an Asuran scientist "unfreezes" him in Guild Wars 2 era?

I hope he is not in GW2 in some form or another. Since GW2 is a persistent world the farming would be horrifying.

How about, beginning next week, it is now Yakkington who collects an entire different set of drops? Ugh....

They could use a different mechanic for it to be sure. He doesn't have to collect just one item. They could have different items for say, every 10 levels of player progression. That's just an example, but it doesn't have to be the same thing.
